Red Sea Snorkeling Guide

The Egyptian Red Sea offers warm water, excellent visibility and marine life throughout the year.

Best time to snorkel

Snorkeling is available year-round. Spring and autumn often offer comfortable temperatures and calm conditions.

What to bring

Pack swimwear, sunscreen, a towel and a light cover. Most organized tours provide masks, snorkels and fins.

Respect the reef

Never stand on coral or touch marine life. Following your guide protects both you and the reef.

Hurghada or Sharm?

Both are excellent. Hurghada is known for island escapes, while Sharm is famous for the reefs of Ras Mohammed and Tiran.
